Mexico places to go Project

I did a project over different places in Mexico and learned different things about Mexico. I researched the populations of Mexico City, Jalisco, Guadalajara, Nayarit, Tepic, and compared them to Texas and Austin. We did this to compare their states with our states and their capitals with our capitals. I also labeled those places on a map of Mexico. After that, we researched ten places to go to. Two of the ten places were from the state of Nayarit because that is where the character in our book goes to. The purpose of the project was to get familiar with the places and culture of Mexico and how it compares to the United States. I learned that Mexico is a lot smaller than the United States. I learned the names of different states and cities as well as their capitals. After doing research for the slideshow, I learned that not all of Mexico is poor and bad looking. There are many nice beaches and cities that would be cool to go to. I already knew that there were some beaches in Mexico. All the different places to visit and go really surprised me because I did not think there was a lot of things to do in Mexico. Mexico City and Cancun, Quintana Roo were two really nice places that stood out to me. I chose those because those two were cities that I had heard of before the project began.

My favorite gift.

The best gift I gave this Christmas was some charms to go with a bracelet. I gave this gift to my awesome mother. When my mom saw the charms, she gave me a huge hug smiling ear to ear. Right when she got it, she went straight to her room and put it on her bracelet. It was one of the best feelings in the world to know that my mom loved her gift so much. She could not stop telling me how much she loved her gift. The best gift I ever gave on Christmas was a charm to go on a bracelet.

“Why are you mad,” howled Super Pup.

“My dad won’t give me candy,” sobbed Breyden.

“I’ll help you with that,” chanted Super Pup.

“How are you going to do that?” whined Breyden.

“We will fly to the future and get you some candy,” whispered Super Dog.[

“Okay, but my dad will get mad.  Let’s not tell him,” proclaimed Breyden.

“Was that fun in the future,”laughed Super Dog.

“Yes, you are the best dog in the world,” yelled Breyden.

5th Grade Reflections

In 5th grade the thing I liked most was when we got done with all of the HARD star test we got to look over and find out things about the 19th century. The best thing about that is we were not alive then but now we know about the history of our country. We know about the world wars, cold war, music, shows, movies and a lot of other things about the 19th century. The thing I disliked most was that we had to take the science star test and we had to fit 5 years of science into one. The worst thing about it is that it had  the highest passing rate we will ever have in grades k through 12th. Overall I had a pretty fun and good year in 5th grade.

So Long Fifth Grade

The most important thing I learned this school year is I learned about the 19th century.

My favorite project was the candy store PBL.

I was most suprised by passing my reading test.

The thing I disliked most was our class walking so much.
