Girls Can Pitch?

Girl pitcher Jackie Mitchell Will start for the Chattanooga Lookouts vs. the New York Yankees. We had to move the game back a little because of the massive depression we had here in Tennessee. Right now people are starting to fill the crowds for today’s game. Here comes Babe Ruth and the Yankees on the field to warm up. They look as calm as the ever have. Oh, but here comes your Lookouts! There’s a big standing ovation for Jackie Mitchell. Today’s game will be a good one. The first batter up is Babe Ruth. The first pitch from Jackie Mitchell is a sinker, but it is a ball. The next pitch he swung and missed for strike one. The third time he missed for strike two. The last pith from Jackie Mitchell was thrown to the Outside corner For strike three! She struck out Babe Ruth! Next up was Lou Gehrig. He swung at three straight pitches and struck out! She has been looking like no other pitcher has  before!

what I learned

The activity I did was we got in groups and had to find information about different acts. The one my group did was the quartering act. We had to find who was in it, what it was, when it happened, where it happened, why it happened, and how it happened. One thing I learned was that the Quartering act was something that helped provide food and housing for British soldiers. That is the activity I did.

2014-2015

What I look back to in 2014 is all the great things I’ve accomplished in baseball. At one point in 2014, I did not want to catch at all, but my coaches pushed me to be able to be one of the best catchers on my team. I’m also happy that I have become a better pitcher than I have my whole entire life. With all of that, my team has won 4 championships in 2014.
In 2015, I look forward to going on a cruise in the beginning of August. I am going with my family, and me and my brother get to invite a friend. The cruise is called the Carnival Dream. It has two big slides and a water park. I look forward to having lots of fun on the cruise!
